Job Description:
As a Nursery Teacher at CanDo Nursery, you will play a vital role in providing a nurturing and educational environment for young children. You will work closely with the nursery management team, parents, and other staff members to deliver high-quality care and early childhood education.

Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and implement age-appropriate and engaging educational activities, following the nursery’s curriculum and learning objectives.
  2. Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment that promotes children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
  3. Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
  4. Conduct ongoing observations and assessments of children’s progress and development, documenting their achievements and areas for improvement.
  5. Provide individualized attention and support to meet the unique needs and abilities of each child, adapting teaching strategies and materials accordingly.
  6. Encourage and facilitate positive behavior management techniques, promoting self-discipline, respect, and cooperation among the children.
  7. Plan and organize field trips, special events, and celebrations that enrich the children’s learning experiences and promote their cultural awareness.
  8. Collaborate with other nursery staff, such as nursery assistants and teaching assistants, to ensure a smooth and cohesive operation of daily routines and activities.
  9. Communicate effectively with parents or guardians, providing regular updates on their child’s progress, development, and any concerns that may arise.
  10. Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating learning environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and nursery policies.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A recognized qualification in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Experience working with young children in a nursery or early years setting.
  • Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to create a nurturing and supportive learning environment.
  • Creativity and the ability to design and implement engaging educational activities.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and safeguarding procedures.
  • A genuine passion for working with young children and promoting their holistic development.
